My Name Is Trouble.

No theme per se for today's post, just some quick pix to show y'all the tres doux, va-va-voom feminine hair by D!va that you can scoopie at Collabor88, which I coupled with a better look at the fabby "Margot" Glam Affair skin that I've been going on about (also courtesy of Collabor88) + these new deep, rich, perfectly shaded "Tome" eyes by Ikon, which might just be my fave brown eyes of all time.
And since our own Hibari Foden is still on blogging hiatus, I thought I'd do a "Hibari homage" by putting 2 looks together like this. We miss you Hibari!  

*Btw today's post title comes from an acoustic singer who somehow manages to rock an utterly too fierce bowl cut (!) in her lovely synth-pop-folk ditty that graced 1 of my fave cable shows last nite (you can hear this super catchy track -- and see this crazy hair -- in the snippet below). You gotta love how unabashedly low-rent this one is, hehe.

Glam Affair has been knocking it outta the park lately with their skin offerings at Collabor88, and their recent "Margot" offerings are simply some of the finest (and most versatile) skin steals on the grid. I paired these pouty mulberry lips with a brand-new apple green cap-sleeved top by Teefy + tomato-red sashed shorts; a deliciously blue-black hair, too many accessories (including a new free gold birdcage necklace) + an attitudinal pose helped pull this casual look together. -- Color overload? Pffft. No such thing.

It's a new round of goodies at Collabor88, and this round features tons of weather-themed pretties (I chose a sunny disposition today). As anyone who's got HBO knows, Game of Thrones is killing it this season. Last week's episode 4 pretty much established Emilia Clarke as the definitive Khaleesi (it's actually odd to see her as a non-blonde in RL), what with her gutteral, utterly believable rendition of the nonsensical High Valyrian language + her solo-worded "Dracarys" command, making her black dragon burn alive her new army's nipple-slicing slavemaster (much to everyone's morbid delight). -- My personal theory re: why everyone finds this fantasy show so ridic compelling: its universal truths that seem to resonate with us. I mean, who can't appreciate that timeless tale of a beautiful princess, forced into marriage with the impossibly buff Jason Mamoa, who then becomes cherished by her primitive peoples, then turned self-empowering biatch with her own coterie of live dragons, post-self-immolation upon the funeral pyre? You know, your typical girl power story!

And so with the poking + prodding of a certain instigator, I'm issuing a blogger styling challenge to "Style Your Own Inner Khaleesi": not at all directed at les fantasy nerdettes, or even those with blonde avis, it's more about styling one's innermost princess, despite encountering circumstances beyond one's own control (a RL concept that speaks to a few of us, I think). At her core, the Khaleesi (that's fantasy speak for "Queen," non-HBOers) is a natural leader; she's charming, even a bit naive at times about the (seemingly good) intentions of other people; she also shows real ingenuity, and demonstrates steely bravery + an utter willingness to lay it all on the line when it comes to, say, decimating a town or two. -- One could go 20th century and style the modern-day Khaleesi (5th Avenue Khaleesi takes on Bergdorf's?) or any one of her many looks from the actual series (after all that dirty desert time, I personally delighted in seeing the Khaleesi all girlied-out out in those floaty dresses from Qarth last season).

Even if there are no takers, I'm showing my version above, which I couldn't resist smoking up a bit (I mean, she is the Queen of Fire) + of course, some cute baby dragons.

Silver Linings.

You can never have enough heels, especially the razor-thin stilettos kind.
Baiastice creator Sissy Pessoa's newest snakeskin stilettos come with oodles of texture-change sock options. Usually one for punched-up color, I was immediately drawn to this muted, soft silvery tone (which I found tres elegant with these teensy black polka-dotted socks).
All this silver landed me squarely in a retro Hollywood glam mood, so I dressed it up with some trailing diamond jewels, the latest sideswept "Caprice" updo by Truth that I've been obsessed with for weeks + the sparkly, silvery gray "Platinum" shade of Ikon's latest Ardent eyes. My go-to 1-shoulder "Dakota" dress by Maitreya finished this no-fuss silvery look.
And since I've still been obsessing over new home decor stuffs, here are some free pretties for those with a green thumb: this free gardening desk (complete with clay flowerpots, seed packets, "Biologica" dirt sack + some wooden tray things), which I combined with these gorges single plants in gardening soil sacks (you get 3 different mesh ones for free by El Patio Inc.).
Speaking of El Patio Inc., I'm so glad that creator Denise Rowlands graciously invited me to check out her striking Crash Boat SIM, since this place is simply crammed with ready-made ops for photogs. Be sure to wander past the stores plaza to check out the abandoned railway cars, rustic  wooden bridge, rainy mountaintop scene (complete with tucked-away cozy shack!) & even a solitary control tower. My fave was simply taking in the glowing sunset on the boat-strewn beach, which was broken up beautifully by tiny flowing streams + whitewashed logs. This beach actually so reminded me of my fave sandy spots in Hawaii; Denise really got that mix of solitude + artfully-strewn nature just right! Most def on my permanent must-TP list as a serene hideout for some good old-fashioned peace + quiet.
